Make sure you install the latest version of this antivirus software. If you bought AVG from the store some time ago and are now trying to install it from the original CD, problems may occur because that version may not be compatible with your system anymore.Installed clean w7 Ultimate x64 on my system last night and decided to try Clam Win and Sentinel for a few hours..Though i liked the minimal resource hook and interaction of the two,i have enough resources to run AVG even on a HDD(as opposed to SSD which gives u a NULL experience of hooks) and so i Updated Windows (177 updates at the time, all optional Net.I haven't uninstalled/reinstalled the game yet as it's a bit tedious (my game was installed from disc) and I won't have the time to let it run for another couple of weeks, so that's my last resort (and I don't know if it'll work).I also don't want to lose all my saves, and if I have to copy out my current saves in order to restore them after the reinstall, makes me wonder if that'll break my game again.Framework and security updates as i have dev key to windows7).After installing the windows updates i installed AVG 2016 and entered the key to upgrade to a licensed version..
There have been reports that some updates take over three hours to download, perhaps due to a dodgy server or a temperamental Internet connection.
Check that your system complies with the minimum AVG requirements. AVG can run on any version of Windows, from the XP Service Pack 3 version to Windows 10. If it works for some time, there is a chance it may be running some applications that block the installation of the antivirus software.
By rebooting, you make sure that when you try to install AVG, only the applications necessary for the operation will run.
When I tried to open the game the first time yesterday, Origin notified me that my local saves weren't in sync with my cloud saves, and asked whether I would like to sync the local or the cloud saves. Don't know if moving my saves did anything to make the game not work anymore, but yeah.
I've tried: - restarting my computer - repairing the game in Origin - running the game in offline mode - disabling Origin in-game for this product - updating my Nvidia drivers - running both Origin and Inquisition as administrator - adding Inquisition and the launcher to my firewall - disabling my firewall Spoke to a EA technical chat advisor a couple hours ago who looked at my Dx Diag and told me my graphics drivers hadn't been updated since 2013, but turns out he was looking at the info for my Intel driver and not the Nvidia one, which I update fairly regularly.
